Gift: Rei by Kittara Jaganshi

Ever since I started drawing Karma: Chapter 2, it would appear that Rei is getting a lot of attention!

Kittara Jaganshi is actually one of my “clients” at the moment. I’m drawing her characters along with Tori Avalon as requested. It was funny, I’ve never been commissioned for drawing my own character before, so even though I’m super busy, I had to make an exception!

In turn, she drew this for me. ♥ I know she referenced the outfit from Vampire Wars, but because I’m playing Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom, I keep picturing Rei with Saito the Shinsengumi! ;u;

Karma: Chapter 2: End

So this finally marks the ending of Karma: Chapter 2! Thanks so much for sticking around with me so long! o(^o^)o Did you like the ending?

When I asked the people who bought this issue, everyone seem to have understood the ending in their own way! Some say that the soul of Professor Azorite was taken by the demon to use as a trap for Aly. Others argued that the first Azorite was a demon, and the second one who appeared beside Shijirou was the real soul! Still others say that the first and second Azorite were really one and the same and that this was a test done by the Angels Rei, Tori, and Shijirou to see if Aly is "worthy"!

But I am bombarded with more questions as well. What was Azorite implying when he said Rei was "no mere angel"? Who is "he" that regards Aly as "most precious in his sight"? What did Shijirou mean by "far more important matters to attend to"?

And, perhaps most importantly, will we be seeing more?

Unfortunately, I can't answer any of these questions even though the chapter has ended! m(_ _)m I'm very sorry! But yes, I am working on Chapter 3, and I want to remake Chapter 1 as well. ♥ For now, I will leave you guys to find your own conclusions, which will hopefully be satisfactory enough until the next chapter is released! Feel free to send me more questions and conclusions though! I'd love to see what else everyone has come up with! >.<;;;

Karma: Chapter 2: Epilogue 5

Two pages of webcomics, two days in a row? I must be getting sick or something! Well, actually, I have a cold right now, but that’s beside the point! >o<;;;

I’ve been thinking twice about posting the last two pages of Karma’s Epilogue, but I figured… why not? I had always been a webcomic artist first, and that’s what I’ll probably always be!

This is, by far, my most favorite page of the entire chapter. The funny thing is, the epilogue wasn’t really written this way in the original script. I remember penciling this page in the dinning room when I was pretty much exhausted from finishing page after page of Karma. I don’t think this was even supposed to be a page, but after the pencils were finished, I knew I couldn’t leave it out from the epilogue.
So I rewrote the ending. m(_ _)m

It makes me wonder if professional mangaka allow their stories to stem out this way, or if it’s just me. =A=;;; The dialogue wasn’t even finalized for this page until about a week before printing for Komikon 7!

I am probably the most sporadic webcomic artist in the history of this planet. =_=;;;

When was the last time I updated A.illusions? Why, that was an entire year ago~! =A=;;; What is wrong with me? It’s not like I didn’t finish drawing this page; in fact, it’s been done since last year! (/>m<)/ ┻━┻

Ok, to be honest, I was actually re-doing all of the old pages of A.illusions. Since this is my first webcomic, most of it is really experimenting with styles, panels, shadows, story-telling, etc. I wanted to post the re-done pages once a week, but something else came into play that… well, may change everything about A.illusions altogether.

I can’t really say what it is yet, but hopefully I can let the cat out of the bag next week. o(^o^)o Until then, enjoy this newly refurbished page! ♥

Now then, please tell me if the dialogue makes sense or not. I’m not really good with this hacking business, so forgive me if my newbie-ness is showing. ;u; ♥

Belated Happy Hearts!

Late for the party! In more ways than one too! ;~;

This is my second attempt in drawing EL. I was thinking about posting the first one, which is already about 50% done, but when I compared it to this one, I cringed! @o@;;; Has my art style changed that much in less than a few months? Brr… Maybe drawing all those Uta Princes wasn’t so bad after all.

Uta☆Pri: Private

It’s never flattering to see someone else upload your work somewhere and tell the world that they were the ones who drew it. Neither is it ok for others to upload fan art and say “I forgot where I got this, but I wanted to share it anyway! Yay!” when the artist’s signature and website are right there on the said artwork. (/>m<)/ ┻━┻ What is wrong with these kids?!

Unfortunately, it seems I need to put a huge watermark on my fan art from now on. I never thought something like this would happen to me, but I suppose it can happen to anyone. >.>;;; I’m really sorry, guys, please don’t hate me for this! ;_;

Anyway, this is like a mirror of Masato’s piece, although I never intended it to be that way. =o=;;; My sub-consciousness probably took over or something, but I’m really, really happy with how this turned out! The colors, mood, and lightning came out close to what I originally pictured in my head, but somehow? This is even better! >w<;;; And their clothes~ I hate drawing frills but wow, they can really set the outfit! Oh Ren~ ♥

Karma: Chapter 2: Colored Cover

I forgot to post this here when I finished coloring it about a month ago! =A=;;; Way to go, Rei! So before I start hating the colors on this piece, I guess I better share it with everyone. ^o^;;;

A lot of people have been asking me what the colors of the angels’ coats are. Lots of people suggested to keep the black, or to keep it dark colored, like midnight blue. When I was working on this though, blue and gold seemed far too typical a combination, so I opted for a deep red instead. After all, they’re no ordinary angels, right? ^_^

You might have noticed that I’ve stopped updating Karma: Chapter 2. As to why that is, I can’t really say yet. Hopefully, it will be a great surprise for everyone who’s been supporting me for such a long time! ;o; And just so you know, I love you guys, ok? ;_; ♥

Girl Gamer Girlfriend: Romel

Hey, Romel! What’s with the pose? Hm? Stiff neck? It’s because you keep playing video games for long hours without breaks! Do you even study, eat, or sleep at all? It’s really bad for your health you know! Do you want me to tell Lean? xD

I couldn’t sleep last night, and I woke up pretty early a while ago. =_=;;; Since I’ve been meaning to draw this guy for a long time, I though I might as well practice some poses or something. But I got carried away this his hair! It’s not supposed to be that long but since I already colored, shaded, and highlighted it, I don’t want to erase it anymore! (/=o=)/ ┻━┻ Can we just say he forgot to get a haircut from too much gaming? =w=;;;

Why do I keep drawing PSPs anyway? =A=;;; Maybe I’m the one playing too much?

A Day in the Life of Rei: A Sweet Sound…

To answer your questions:

1. The rabbit is me and the little chic is Piyo-chan from UtaPri.
2. No, I’m not born on the year of the rabbit, but most people seem to associate me with rabbits for some reason or other.
3. Yes, my PSP is pink. It’s the first generation PSP so it’s a darker shade of pink than the pastels of PSP2.
4. Yes, I did have those headsets, but they’re broken now.
5. Yes, the walls in my room are purple.
6. Yes, I actually have those bed sheets and pillow cases.
7. Yes, this really did happen.

I’ve always wanted to try my hand at drawing 4 koma… This is sketchier that I wanted it to be, but I’m a little busy at the moment, so I can’t spend too much time on it.

This little comic strip is supposed to be for Valentine’s Day, but I thought an early greeting can’t hurt. o(*^o^*)o

I did kiss my PSP screen… and for good reason. I bet some of you have secretly done that before too. ♥ So yeah~ Happy Early Valentine’s Day!

A.I. no Trinity

From top to bottom, that would be Shijirou, Azorite, and Lain. You could say they’re the three kings of A.illusions… but that just gets me singing “We three kings of Orient are~ Bearing gifts we traverse-” xD;;; *ehem*

Even though I say three “kings”, they look more like… A priest, a magician, and a… chancellor? =A=;;;

I’ve always wanted to draw these three together, but I’m really skeptical about the colors of this piece. It feels too primary colors-ish. =_=;;; Individually, they look ok, but together? It just gets my head spinning. Maybe I should have skipped the blue coat and gave Lain a maroon one.

Gift: Rei by Jacqueline

After two months of waiting, thanks a lot Philippine post office, I finally received Jacqueline’s Christmas card! And inside is this lovely sketch of Rei in her style~ ♥ I don’t know what to call her style of drawing, but I love how she draws her characters because each of them have individual facial features unique from one to another… Something I need to learn myself, since I have a tendency of simply changing hairstyles or adding glasses to my characters. xDDD
