A few days ago, I’ve never even heard of “No Leaf Clover”, but I was impressed that Oh No! Manga and Vocafusion managed to invite a Japanese band to the Philippines in time for Cosplay Camp 2. I listened to a few of their songs on YouTube, and I remember thinking, “wow, they’re pretty good!” So good that when I spotted Inai-san walking around alone in the convention, I pointed him out to Ray and asked him to maybe speak to Inai-san so that I can get a quick photo.
That never happened, because the marshals told us to run along… But oh well, what’s a fan to do? Even though we were guests ourselves, there was no way for the Vocafusion or Oh No! Manga staff to know we were guests since we never got our IDs and uniforms.
Nevertheless, I was so happy that I got to hear them live. They weren’t just good, they were very, very good! And even though I had to stay in my table since I was working, I was awestruck… practically teary-eyed when they performed “World’s Edge”!
If it’s possible to fall in love with someone’s music, I think that’s exactly what happened to me last Sunday. Given the chance, I would have bought their CD and waited in line to meet them and take a photo with them, but I was working! I should have asked for a break, but… ah, it is possibly one of my biggest regrets…
And so, in order to stave off a little of that regret, I drew a quick colored sketch for them (I apologize, but I have so many deadlines right now! But even still…) I hope they’ll manage to see this little gift I made for them:
Thank you for coming to visit your fans in the Philippines, and thank you for helping to make Oh No! Manga Cosplay Camp 2 a success! I hope that I will be able to meet you in person one day, and I sincerely hope you enjoyed your stay here!
